Maple Ridge Detached homes Market Weekly Market comment
My data analysis and research disclosed a continuing trend this last week over the prior week:
- This holiday weekend is normally a very quiet weekend, no visitors or few visitors at open houses and a low amount of property showings BUT yesterday I hosted an open house and their were 6 groups of people who came to visit when a few weeks ago I hosted opens with zero visitors. In addition, some of my clients properties are now getting consistent requests for visits. I spoke to other agents to see if they are experiencing the same and the answer was yes. We are experiencing increasing market activity at this time.
- Bank of Canada is anticipated to cut its rate this mouth so this could be part of the stimulus. But as always there is no guarantee they will.
- Dropping amounts of new listings, less price reductions, and stable number of sales plus a drop in the number of homes below 1 m list price in Maple Ridge.
